Lightsabers at Grand Canal Dock

A shot of Grand Canal Dock in Dublin, Ireland. The piece of art at the dock always reminds me of Darth Vaders Lightsaber! The shot was taken with a Nikon D810 camera using a Nikkor 16-35mm f/4 lens. I edited the photo using DXO Pro Optics 10, Adobe Lightroom 5 (to reduce the levels of all colours except red) and then reduced the noise levels using Topaz Labs DeNoise 5. Thanks for looking!

Howth at Sunrise – HDR

Howth Harbour Sunrise HDR1

Howth Sunrise HDR 1 – An HDR shot of the Howth Harbour Lighthouse at sunrise.

I took one shot at f/8, 1/350 sec at iso 200. I then edited the photo within Lightroom 4, exported into Photoshop CS6 where I created 5 different exposures from the same image. These were then merged into one HDR image using Photomatix Pro, and then a final bit of editing using Lightroom 4, Photoshop CS6 and Topaz DeNoise 5.

The photo was taken using a Nikon D800 with a Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 lens.
