The Four Courts is Ireland’s main courts building, it is based on Inns Quay in Dublin and is the location of the Supreme Court, the High Court and the Dublin Circuit Court. Until 2010 the building also housed the Central Criminal Court.

The Four Courts were originally built between 1786 and 1796, however they got destroyed during the Civil War in 1922. In 1932, a rebuilt and remodelled Four Courts was opened.

This photo was taken using a Sony NEX-6 camera with a Sony 16-50 f/3.5-5.6 powerzoom pancake lens. I reduced some lens anomalies using DXO Pro Optics 9. It was edited into 5 different exposures using Photoshop CS6 and then merged into a single HDR image using Photomatix Pro 5.  From there I reduced the noise, using Topaz Labs DeNoise 5 and then applied a preset setting from Topaz Clarity. I then made a couple of final adjustments within Adobe Lightroom 5 and converted it to Black & White using Topaz Labs Black & White Effects.

Thanks for looking!
