Powerscourt Waterfall HDR

Powerscourt Waterfall 1

Powerscourt Waterfall HDR – This is a shot of Powerscourt Waterfall in County Wicklow, Ireland. It is the tallest waterfall in Ireland, standing at 398ft (121m). It is set in the parklands of the foothills of Wicklow mountains. The parklands contain Beech, Oak, Larch and Pine trees, some of which were planted over 200 years ago. It also contains a few Giant Redwood trees native to Northern California.

This photo was taken using a Nikon D800 camera with a Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. It is one image that was turned into 5 different exposures using Photoshop CS6. From there I merged it into one HDR image using Photomatix Pro and then edited in Lightroom 4. I did some final editing using Photoshop CS6 with the Topaz Labs DeNoise 5 plug-in.
