This is the statue of George Salmon at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. The Reverend George Salmon (25 September 1819 – 22 January 1904) was, firstly, a mathematician whose publications in algebraic geometry were widely read in the second half of the 19th century. He was also an Anglican theologian who devoted himself mostly to theology for the last forty years of his life. His publications in theology were widely read, too. He spent his entire career at Trinity College Dublin. (Source Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Salmon)
